Para explicar el "dress for success" primero te voy a contar una de las anécdotas más trascendentes en mis 21 años, ¿cuál fué? Me encontré a Ana Dello Russo ¡en el supermercado!
Llevo dos meses viviendo en París y lo más cercano a alguien famoso fue un Meet and Greet con la blogger de moda más famosa del mundo, Chiara Ferragni, del cuál no conseguí ni una foto. Llegue tarde por estar antes en una fiesta de la tienda departamental de lujo por excelencia "Galerías Lafayette", digo no me arrepiento, te pintaban gratis las uñas, te regalaban copas de champagne y postrecitos franceses, no hay manera de resistirse a eso (menos con lo que me sale la conversión de los pesos mexicanos a euros).
En fin, el día de hoy llegue a "La grande épicerie" a comprar unas cosas antes de ir al gym, éste lugar es un supermercado grande y con muchos productos importados, se que dije que está cara la conversión a euros, pero en los mini supermercados normales parisinos no hay todos los productos a los que estamos acostumbrados en México y para mi dieta de modelo tengo que invertir en este tipo de lujitos.
En fin, no nos desviemos, entré al supermercado más fresa de París con un outfit totalmente deportivo, cero maquillaje, un chongo de bailarina, una chamarra de frío intenso, leggins y unos tenis color verde menta para correr, (de esos que realmente son para cuidar tus rodillas y articulaciones y no tanto para que todos te envidien mientras trotas en slow motion).
Llegué al estante del salmón ahumado, volteo y a mi lado la editora de VOGUE Japón, una de las fashionistas más importantes del mundo ¡Anna Dello Russo! ¡¿WHAT?! Y yo en la ciudad de la moda intentando consolidar mi carrera de modelo regándola con ese outfit que ni la Fashion police se dignaría en criticar.
Obviamente pensé en mi Instagram. Una selfie con ella sería un hit. Pero entre la emoción, la pena y la evidente falta de esfuerzo por mi persona esa mañana, la foto resultó una de aquellas que ni un filtro ni todas las aplicaciones de belleza instantánea juntas pueden salvar. ¿Ya sabes? De esas fotografías que no llegan ni a once likes, y que además te regalan uno que otro unfollow.
En fin, después de mi anécdota random ¿A qué viene todo esto? ¡Dress-for-success!, solo tienes una oportunidad para causar una buena primer impresión, por suerte para mi Anna obvio no se acordara de mi y mis fachas cuando me elija para la siguiente portada de su revista, pero no todos corren con esa suerte, ¡hay que invertir en nosotros mismos para lograr lo que queremos!.
Aunque no lo creas el outfit de tu elección habla mucho de quién eres, mal elegido te puede perjudicar, pero bien elegido te puede ayudar a lograr cualquier cosa que te propongas.
Está 100% comprobado que cuando te ves bien, te sientes bien. El outfit correcto además de darte la seguridad que necesitas, es una manera de decirle al mundo el tipo de persona que eres o que quieres llegar a ser. No hay que gastar mucho para encontrar las piezas adecuadas, vístete de la persona en la que te quieres convertir y comienza a serlo.

Aunque no ames la moda ámate a ti mismo. Invierte en ti, date 10 minutos más todas las mañanas y obtén ese sentimiento de "im sexy and I know it" todos los días. Con perseverancia, disciplina y el outfit adecuado puedes conseguir lo que sea. ¿por qué ser promedio todo el tiempo y solo arreglarte para una ocasión especial? Voltea a tu al rededor y encuentra felicidad en las cosas simples de la vida, creo que encontrarás muchas razones para celebrar.

I got to the rack of the smoked salmon, turned and OMG in front of me the editor of Vogue Japan, one of the world's leading fashionistas Anna Dello Russo !, what ?! and there I was in the city of fashion trying to consolidate my modeling career screwing it all with that outfit that neither the Fashion Police woul deign to criticize.
Obviously I thought of my Instagram. A selfie with it would be a hit. But amid the excitement, sorrow and the apparent lack of effort on my person that morning, the picture was one of those that neither a filter nor all applications together can save instant beauty.
