Instagram atacó mi estómago otra vez, estaba "scrolling" en mi instagram y en eso veo la foto de dos modelos con unas paletas de malvaviscos con chispitas de colores que se veían buenísimas, la foto estaba hiper cool y habían taggeado a lugar "Chök Barcelona". ¡Tengo que ir! Dije.
Otra vez, scrolleaba por mi instagram y otra cuenta de comida a la que sigo (que no mencionare por que es competencia directa jajaja) subió una foto de una cronut deliciosa que casi casi hizo latir más rápido mi corazón, de nuevo "Chök Barcelona". ¡Dios mío! El destino me lo estaba diciendo, tenía que ir a ese lugar, no había nada más hipnotizante que esas chispitas de colores y esa variedad de formas, colores, toppings.
Tengo que confesar que desde que llegue a Barcelona me moría por ir, pero después recordé que no quería ser una modelo desempleada y obviamente sí iba desde mi primer día no resistiría la tentación de ir otro día y otro día, así hasta volverme una modelo plus size.
En fin, espere a mi último día en la ciudad; era una buena fecha por que era cumpleaños de mi mejor amigo y que mejor manera de celebrar que con ¡Postres!. Me levanté y lo hice caminar hasta el lugar, eran unos dos kilómetros pero sí ya me iba a meter tal cantidad de calorías caminar unos 15 minutos viendo los paisajes de Barcelona no me costaba nada, yo iba motivada, como un conejito persiguiendo la zanahoria.
Llegue y OMG, todo lo que me esperaba, lo que había visto en instsgram y más, un lugar súper chiquito pero súper bonito, habían donas perfectamente acomodadas en la pared del mostrador, al fondo estaban preparando nuevos postres, los precios sorprendentemente bajos (para alguien que vive en Francia).
En fin, la decisión fue difícil pero elegí un cronut (dona y a la ves croissant) sabor chocolate blanco con mermelada de frambuesa y chispas de fresa; Felipe que no tardo nada en elegir pidió una de chocolate blanco con crema de avellana y chispas de chocolate. Ambos pedimos Macarons de vainilla para acompañar (por sí no era suficiente azúcar). Yo por que ya llevaba más de una semana sin ellos y Felipe por que ¡tenía que probarlos!.
Disfrutamos bastante sentados en la mesita de Chök, platicamos, comimos, nos tomamos selfies, admiramos el lugar y todo lo que vendían. Desde las típicas tabletas de chocolate hasta pasta con cacao, papas fritas con chocolate, churros fritos pero con aceite de oliva, chöks (que son como bagels de chocolate pero con relleno salado como guacamole) ¡no tienen una idea!, ¡increíble!. La que nos atendió, (por cierto muy amable y hasta felicitó a Felipe), nos contó que los viernes hacen talleres de cocina salada y dulce. Luego stalkeandolos, encontré que en su facebook y en su Twitter dan consejos de cocina, recetas, etc ¡padrísimo!.
Dejar el lugar fue difícil ya que sólo probé una cosa de las mil que quería probar, así que compre una "piruchok" que es una paleta creada de dos galletas maria rellenas de chocolate tipo betún casero, cubiertas de chocolate duro y chispitas; la pedí para llevar pero no me duró ni 2 cuadras que no podía resistir a morderla, estaba tan bonita adornada que me tome fotos con ella lo más rápido que pude y así poder atacar lo más pronto posible.
En fin, Chök Barcelona, algo que tienes que probar y visitar antes de morirte :)

Chok Barcelona, a tiny place that hides the biggest flavors!
Instagram attacked my stomach again, I was "scrolling" in my instagram and saw a photo of two models with a lolipop of marshmallows with colored sprinkles, they looked sooo good, the picture was hyper cool and had tagged the place "Chok Barcelona ". I have to go! I Said.
Again, I scrolling around in my instagram a food account that follow (which I will not mention because it is my direct competition lol) put a picture of a delicious cronut that almost made my heart beat faster, and there was it again, "Chok Barcelona" . OMG! Fate was telling me I had to go to that place, there was nothing more mesmerizing than those sparks of colors and the variety of shapes, colors, toppings. I have to confess that since I came to Barcelona I was dying to go, but then I remembered I did not want to be an unemployed model and obviously if I have gone there on my first day would not resist the temptation to go another day and another day, till I became a plus size model.
Well, I waited for my last day in town; It was a good date because it was my best friend's birthday and what better way to celebrate than with desserts !. I got up and I did walk to the place, there were about two kilometers but since I was going to get so many calories walking about 15 minutes enjoying the sights of Barcelona did not cost me anything, I was motivated, like a bunny chasing a carrot.
Arrived there and OMG, everything I expected, a super tiny but super nice place, had donuts perfectly accommodated in the wall, in the background they were preparing new desserts, the prices were surprisingly low (for someone who lives in France).
Finally, the decision was difficult but I chose a cronut (a donut that it's at the same time a croissant) white chocolate flavored with raspberry jam and strawberry sparks; Felipe did not take anything in choosing, he ordered a white chocolate with hazelnut cream and chocolate chips. We both ordered vanilla macarons to accompany (it was not enough sugar before).
Quite enjoyed sitting on the coffee table Chok, we talked, we ate, we took selfies, admire the place and everything they sold. From the typical chocolate bars to pasta with cocoa, chocolate chips, fried churros but with olive oil, choks (bagels with chocolate topping but with savory filling like guacamole) you have no idea !, amazing !. The attendant which greeted us, (by the way very friendly and even congratulated Felipe), told us that they have friday workshops and they teach salty and sweet cuisine. Then stalking them, I found that on their facebook and Twitter they give cooking tips, recipes, etc. really cool! .
Leaving the place was difficult as I only tried one thing of a thousand things that I wanted to try, so In my way out I bought a 'piruchok "which is a lollipop created with two maria cookies filled with chocolate frosting, covered with hard chocolate and sprinkles; It only lasted like 2 blocks and I could not resist biting, it was decorated so pretty that I took pictures with it as fast as I could so I could be able to attack as soon as possible.
Finally, Chok Barcelona, is something you have to try and visit before you die :)
